This will likely be my last post on this blog for some time as I delve deeper into research for an upcoming publication. My convictions have not fundamentally changed, however, the Lord is guiding me through a refinement.
The Srimad-Bhagavatam presents the highest truth and the highest purpose. The Surya-Siddhanta is also at the level of Vedic revelation and is a limb of the greater body of the Vedas.
Using the Surya-Siddhanta to fact-check the Srimad-Bhagavatam is a mistake. They each serve their intended purpose in their intended domain.
